Our saunas are pre-fabricated and arrive unassembled on pallets. Assembly instructions are included with each sauna, and most require only a Philips head screwdriver for assembly. Generally, it takes two individuals about 4-6 hours to complete the assembly, but this time frame may vary based on the size of the sauna and your assembly experience.

It needs to be strong enough to support the weight of the sauna, the people inside, and potentially the weight of ice and snow in winter, depending on your location.
Here are a few options for what you can place an outdoor sauna on:

• Concrete Slab: A concrete slab is an excellent base for an outdoor sauna. It provides a firm, level surface that is resistant to moisture and rot. It also spreads the weight of the sauna evenly, reducing the risk of sinking or tilting.
• Paved Patio: Pavers are also a good option for a sauna base. They provide a firm and level surface, and they can also be quite attractive. However, it's important to make sure the pavers are properly installed and leveled to prevent any movement.
• Deck: If you're placing the sauna on a deck, ensure the deck is strong enough to support the weight. You may need to reinforce the deck, or place the sauna near a load-bearing post.
• Crushed Stone or Gravel: These materials can provide good drainage and a solid base for a sauna. You'll need to create a bordered area to contain the material and ensure it's leveled off before installing the sauna. However, it may not be as stable as a hard surface like concrete.
• Wooden Platform: A pressure-treated wooden platform can also be a good option, as long as it is sturdy and level. Keep in mind that wood can decay over time, especially in damp conditions.

The saunas we carry are designed for easy assembly and integration into your home. The electrical requirements are on par with many typical household appliances. Smaller models utilize a standard 15-amp, 120-volt outlet, so you can plug them directly into a common wall outlet. Larger models, however, might require a 20-amp, 120-volt outlet. In less frequent cases, some models may need a 30-amp, 240-volt circuit.
Preparing your home for a sauna is a standard task that a certified electrician can easily manage. Similar to setting up a dishwasher or an air conditioner, they'll establish a dedicated circuit. The associated cost usually aligns with other routine household electrical installations. • Cedar: This is one of the most popular choices because it's naturally resistant to moisture, decay, and insect damage. Cedar also has a pleasant aroma and doesn't get as hot to the touch as other woods, which is a significant advantage in a sauna. Cedar wood saunas are highly durable, and with the right care, they can last for many years in various climates.
• Hemlock and Spruce: These are also commonly used. Hemlock has a uniform texture and is resistant to warping and cracking, whereas spruce has good heat-retaining properties.

Choosing the right heater for your sauna can greatly enhance your relaxation and wellness experience. Here are the potential benefits of the three main types of heaters:

• Electric Heaters: An electric heater is the perfect blend of convenience and control, making your sauna ready within 20-40 minutes. You can easily adjust the heat to your preference, allowing for a custom sauna experience right in the comfort of your own backyard. Moreover, these heaters are generally easy to maintain, making them a hassle-free option.
• Wood-Burning Heaters: If you're a fan of tradition and authenticity, a wood-burning heater offers a one-of-a-kind, richly aromatic experience that you can't get from other heaters. Additionally, they are excellent for larger or off-grid saunas, allowing you to enjoy a warm, comforting sauna session even in the most remote locations.
• Infrared Heaters: An infrared heater offers a unique, efficient sauna experience by heating your body directly. This means quicker heat times and lower operating temperatures, which may make your sauna session more comfortable, especially if you're sensitive to high heat. Infrared heaters are energy-efficient and simple to install, being compatible with a standard electrical outlet.

The time it takes for an outdoor sauna to heat up can vary greatly depending on several factors including the type of sauna, the size of the sauna, the type of heater, the starting temperature, and even the weather. Here are some general estimates:

• Electric Heaters: Saunas with electric heaters typically take between 20-40 minutes to reach the desired temperature. The exact time can vary based on the power of the heater and the size of the sauna.
• Wood-Burning Heaters: These traditional heaters can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to heat a sauna, depending on the size of the stove, the type and amount of wood used, and the size of the sauna.
• Infrared Heaters: Infrared saunas heat up more quickly than traditional saunas, usually in about 10-20 minutes. However, it's important to note that infrared saunas heat the body directly rather than heating the air.
• Keep in mind these are rough estimates and times can vary. For best results, check the user manual or consult with the manufacturer for specific heating times for your particular sauna model.

If your order is currently in stock and the charges to your credit card are successful, we will send your order out for shipment in less than five business days from the time your order is placed. Once your order is on its way, we'll provide you with tracking information. This will be sent to the email address you gave us at checkout within 24 hours of your package leaving our warehouse. If you haven't received any tracking information from us within six business days of placing your order, we encourage you to contact us at support@bodyflowhealth.com.

The freight company handling your sauna will call you to arrange a delivery time. The sauna will be delivered in a crate varying in weight from 250-800 pounds to the bottom of your driveway. There are 2 general methods people use to get the sauna to their desired location:

• Unload the sauna pieces on the truck until the crate is light enough to be carried. The larger your crew the better!
• Rent a tilt tow truck to pick up the sauna from the delivery terminal to bring to their desired location.

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should REFUSE the package, and make note of it on the delivery receipt. If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please contact us immediately and send photos support@bodyflowhealth.com.
If the unit is signed for without inspection or notation, you are accepting the delivery of the package in good condition. We cannot process an insurance claim with the freight company if the unit is signed for (which means you received it in good condition). If damages have been reported, we will process an insurance claim on your behalf and happily work with you to resolve the issue. Items that arrive damaged and were fulfilled via freight shipping will be provided compensation via replacement parts/pieces at no cost, or refund/partial-refund. If it's determined damages exceed the savable value, replacement units will be provided.
